Samvar Terms of Use
These terms apply to the Samvar iOS app, published by Gerry Fowler (“we”). By using Samvar you agree to them. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; where the two differ, these terms take precedence.
What Samvar is
Samvar helps you keep in touch with the people who matter to you. It keeps your notes and reminders on your device and, when you ask it to, uses an AI service to understand a note or draft a message.
Your content
Everything you enter stays yours. We claim no rights over it. You are responsible for what you record about other people and for the messages you send.
AI-generated suggestions
Suggested messages and the facts Samvar files from your notes are generated automatically and can be wrong. Read them before you rely on or send them. Samvar never sends a message on your behalf.
Samvar Pro
Samvar Pro is an auto-renewing subscription bought through Apple, with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase, or at the end of the trial. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and can be managed or cancelled in your iPhone's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. Prices are shown in the app in your local currency before you subscribe.
Fair use
AI features are for personal use at a reasonable volume. We may limit unusually heavy automated use to keep the service available for everyone.
Availability and changes
We may change or discontinue features, and the AI features depend on third-party services that may be unavailable from time to time. The app keeps working with its built-in rules when they are.
No warranty; limitation of liability
Samvar is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the app, including reliance on AI suggestions or loss of data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Consumers in other countries keep the protections of their local law.
